Any tips to quit smoking?
July 4th, 2009 | by Jeff Trikoleti |
I read somewhere that when you finally take that step and quit, BUT … you (especially during the first few months) get an intense craving, REMEMBER THIS: any craving will disappear in five minutes — whether you light up a cigarette or not. So, go with the "or not" advice. I know it’s sooooo difficult. Oh! I also read that quitting smoking is by far the most important thing you can do for your health in your life that will truly have a significant effect on both your life span and your quality of life.

You’re really going to curse me out. My answer? Just simply quit. Your mind is the key factor. Everyone always says ‘nicotine patch’ or some other ridiculous method. Trust me. Just say "enough is enough"………or you can wait until you have some serious medical condition.

If you have willpower, then you have no problem quitting. If very hard to quit, it will help you: Zyban, Nirdosh. Before use always consult with a doctor.

I tried myself before each person is very different when it comes to this. You have to want to quit 100% first, Willpower, then you could try some patches etc if that didn’t work I heard that hypnosis is very good. Just make sure they’re well know for it and that you can get your money back if it didn’t work.

I have smoked for 42yrs. I have tried everything to quit. The chemicals in cigarettes are very addictive!
I got my electronic cigarette 2 months ago. I DIDN’T WANT A CIGARETTE THE FIRST DAY! The 1 I got is different than most and way better!
I feel a thousand % better and my home smells great! I am saving alot of money in the long run. My Doctor thinks this is Great!

Quitting is a really incredible first step towards living a healthier lifestyle. One helpful tool when dealing with cravings or relapse is the idea of Quit and Stay Quit Monday. This is Healthy Monday’s initiative to promote smoking cessation through sending out the message to recommit to your quit at the start of each new week. Check out the website for more on how to use Monday as a jump-start to your success!!
