Are any quit smoking products good like electronic cigarette?

January 2nd, 2010 | by Jeff Trikoleti |

The other day i was looking on TV advertisements when i saw the host was telling about electronic cigarette and quoting it as one of the effective quit smoking products is it true?

Hello!

Some say that using electronic cigarettes can help you quit smoking. Currently there is no scientific evidence for or against it. One option is to gradually lower the level of nicotine in your cartridges to become nicotine and tobacco free.
The other option is to smoke electronic cigarettes with zero nicotine cartridges while applying nicotine patches. That way you separate addiction and habit.

Maybe electronic cigarettes are something for you.

The electronic cigarette was developed in China in 2004 and was designed by the Runyan corporation. It was designed to take the place of smoking tobacco cigarettes and cigars because, despite global smoking bans, many smokers just find it too difficult to quit altogether. There are numerous nicotine replacement products on the market, such as gum and patches, but these in no way replicate the smoking experience which has been proven to be a part of the addictive ritual of smoking. The e-cigarette is revolutionary in that it’s aim is to both deliver nicotine to user and simulate the experience of smoking a traditional tobacco cigarette. Umm…I guess its not true. Actually, you get dependant on the electronic cigarette instead of traditional tobacco. Electronic cigarettes are just another option. However, switching to electronic cigarettes can help you in some ways. They don’t contain any of the harmful chemicals other than nicotine. This way you probably can give your lungs a lot of relief. You can always try to gradually decrease the nicotine level to 0mg. But honestly I tried the same thing, and that did not work for me.

However, I like the fact that are harming me a LOT less. Its the nicotine I care for, and I don’t need the additional chemicals or carcinogens that come as unwanted bonus.I used to use the 16mg Nicotine levels at first, now I have downgraded to 8mg Nicotine level. You might consider it as a achievement, but I know that my smoking habits have not decreased at all. I think you should try Green Smoke. What I like best about them is that each new cartridge comes with a fresh atomizer, so its quite healthy too. If you want to try Green Smoke, visit this link: http://greensmoke.com/keepsmoking

Also, you can use the following coupon codes if you are going to buy:
ChangeALife (20% discount on all kits)
    disc5-1940 (5% on any purchase)
    disc10-1940 (10% off purchases above $100)

If quitting smoking to you is to cease burning and inhaling tobacco - then yes you can quit smoking. If your definition is putting a tubular devise to your mouth and exhaling something that LOOKS like smoke but isn’t then you will still be smoking. If using nicotine is your definition of smoking then you still have options.

Its all in your perception of the definition of "smoking". I quit using tobacco almost 6 months ago by switching over to e-cigs. In my opinion I quit smoking and now choose to "vape" instead. You can then decrease and finally cease your use of nicotine if you choose. Thats up to you, the option is there if you want it. You just need to learn about e-cigs before you choose to buy one as there a MANY options available these days.

Check out some forums to get some real user input and not just sales hype or anti-smoking or anti nicotine user input. Nicotine IS NOT the bad thing in cigarettes.

    It snot proven

You may go for Nicotine replacement therapies

Nicotine replacement therapies (NRTs) are medicines that help decrease or stop a smoker’s withdrawal symptoms by giving controlled doses of nicotine without the other harmful chemicals of cigarette smoke. NRTs are sold as patches, gums, inhalers, nasal sprays, or lozenges. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved all of these products to help people quit smoking. Patches, gums, and lozenges are available over the counter, but you will need a prescription for inhalers and nasal sprays. Some other useful tips to make your quest more successful:

Join a gym and start exercising at least three times a week

Spend more time with non-smokers and you will find yourself not wanting to smoke quite as much

Involve yourself in other activities such as painting, scrap booking, playing golf, building puzzles, swimming, or writing poetry.

During stressful situations when you really need to blow off steam, squeeze a stress ball, have a work-out at the gym, go running, listen to loud music or phone a friend who can offer support

Due to the unpleasantness of the withdrawal symptoms, many people who try to quit smoking end up replacing the cigarettes with some other type of addiction. This may be an addiction to prescription medication, such as sleeping tablets or tranquilizers, or an addiction to food. While you will definitely experience the health benefits of giving up nicotine, no one wants to replace one addiction with another!

A healthy diet, adequate exercise as well as natural and holistic treatments such as acupuncture, massage and herbal and homeopathic remedies can also help the smoker overcome nicotine addiction. Herbal and homeopathic treatments are a safe and effective means to reduce nicotine cravings (without giving you more nicotine) and will also help to prevent weight gain and alleviate anxiety and irritability. Basically, natural and holistic treatments not only lessen the urge to smoke, but also help you to restore balance in your body.

There are a number of ingredients such as Avena sativa, Garcinia cambogia and Gotu Cola (Centella asiatica) which will help to address the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal. They reduce nicotine cravings and balance the mood.

You may get detailed info on these remedies over here http://www.healthherbsandnutrition.com/remedies/s/smoking.htm

I’ve tried just about every method there is out there and there is only one I can recommend - NLP! It eliminates the cravings.
Gum patches and all the other just did not cut it for me, not to mention cold turkey which was the hardest, I even tried the electric cig and it is just no match to the real thing.

This is only a solution for people who smoke bc of an oral fixation. If you truly have a nicotine addiction I don’t think this will help.
